What is it? The queen is the most versatile and powerful piece on the chessboard. Each side has only one queen. Queens may move in any direction -- forward, backward, to each side, or diagonally -- from the square where they start. Queens may not jump other pieces. Give me an example! It is always a wise strategy to protect your queen. Losing your queen will dramatically decrease both your offensive and defensive capability. Remember -- the chessboard is a battlefied, and your queen represents some serious firepower! |
