Second Class Lever

What is it?

A Second Class Lever has its fulcrum, or pivot point, at one end. The effort (force) is applied at the other end, with the load (object to be moved or acted upon) located in the middle.

Give me an example!

Have you ever used a wheelbarrow? How about a garlic press or a nutcracker? If you have, then you've had hands-on experience with a classic example of a Second Class Lever.
